If I wouldn't have changed to Unitel, my long distance bill would have been over $40 this month. With Unitel, it is only $13. I LOVE the detailed phone bill showing the ten most expensive calls, ten longest calls, ten most called cities and ten most called numbers. I'm so glad that I found Unitel and I will recommend them to anyone and everyone I know! 18 out of 42 people found this review helpful Long Distance servicesOverall Rating: By: Sharon L'Ecuyer on Wednesday, February 21, 2007From: Dayton, NV (United States) Experience: 3 Months Pros: Very helpful, in staying connected with family in times of need. Sterling, KY (United States) Experience: 1 Years Pros: Very Inexpensive, Very Convenient Billing and Payment Options, Small charge for 1-800 number Cons: NoneSummary: When we are paying so much for our local phone service, it doesn't bother me a bit to pay the little we do for Uni-tel long distance. I have the payment taken out of my checking account each month, so I get an invoice by e-mail. I receive the e-mail, write it down in my checking account, and never have to worry about it again. I like that convenience and because its only a few dollars a month, it's not like it's another bill to pay. I have family that lives out of state and with other companies it was costing me a small fortune every month. So I like the money I save every month with Uni-tel. I also like having the 1-800 number. Comparing it to others companies, I am getting the same services and exceptional customer service but paying a lot less a month. 24 out of 44 people found this review helpful UNITEL 2.5Overall Rating: By: Michael McCloskey on Friday, January 05, 2007From: New Orleans, LA (United States) Experience: 3 Years Pros: Integrates seamlessly into the telephone service plan and provides the exact same services that are expected of any major long distance service provider.Cons: None.Summary: I would recommend UNITEL 2.5 to anyone that requires a long distance service provider for their home land-line telephone. By keeping my local telephone service at a minimum (with a minimum of caller ID and call waiting), and using UNITEL 2.5, my regular telephone bills are less than if I used a VOIP provider (like Vonage) that also requires a high speed cable internet connection that costs nearly $42/month on its own. 22 out of 41 people found this review helpful Long Distance w/Uni-telOverall Rating: By: Joyce Cottle on Monday, January 01, 2007From: Ferndale, MI (United States) Experience: 2 Months Pros: Service has been very good.Cons: Had a bit of trouble understanding the site.Summary: At this time, I am pleased with the service I have received. The invoice is interesting. I like the presentation as well as the content. Thanks for the excellent service. 26 out of 40 people found this review helpful |
Long Distance - Did you know? Many people think using Calling Cards are less expensive than using regular long distance. How can this be? Don’t they have to pay for the usage of the same lines as everyone else? Sure they do, but calling card companies have become experts in marketing tactics!Read the fine print of the calling card, they often charge for units, not minutes. A unit can be any measure of time they decide, plus they often have minimum call amounts and round up to the next unit. The bottom line is, they have done the math, and it’s going to cost most people more money than selecting a good long distance plan.
