Unitel 2.5 User Review
![]() Very SatisifiedOverall Rating: By: Stephen Topczewski on Saturday, August 09, 2008From: Schaumburg, IL (United States) Experience: 2 Months Pros: Great quality connections, excellent rates, paperless automatic billingCons: Can't get my local phone service through Uni-Tel because they only offer long distance! Summary: My old long carrier was forever finding ways to charge me for every little thing, and then taxing the h!!! out of those charges. Uni-Tel proves that all that is not necessary! On top of as good, if not better, connections and clearity their rates are unbeatable. I love this service (so far). Do yourself a favor and switch over, I've recommended this to several family members and they are now enjoying the cost savings as well. 8 out of 13 people found this review helpful Service with Uni-tel communications.Overall Rating: By: Uni-tel customer on Thursday, July 24, 2008From: chicago, IL (United States) Experience: 2 Months Pros: Lowered long distance ang local toll calls.Cons: None as of today.Summary: Overall good service. 4 out of 12 people found this review helpful Bob KellerOverall Rating: By: Bob Keller on Monday, July 07, 2008From: Caledonia, MI (United States) Experience: 60 Days Pros: I was very skeptical and hesitant, My monthly statements have been accurate and very low compared to what I was paying before. I pay via autopay to a credit card and it is always correct.Summary: I initially cancelled Uni-Tel to subscribe to Comcast's digital phone service since I already had their TV and broadband internet. What a mistake! I gave the digital service 6 months to get up to mediocre, which it never did. It was simple to 'reenlist'...I'm so grateful that Uni-Tel is available! 10 out of 18 people found this review helpful Customer service has been greatOverall Rating: By: Ken Nielson on Monday, June 30, 2008From: Sandy, UT (United States) Experience: 3 Months Pros: The switch to uni-tel has been a great move for me, not only has my long distance bills been cut in half but the customer service has been just as good. Very pleasant customer care.Cons: Kansas City is remarkably expensive compared with Hong Kong etc.Summary: I greatly reduced my phone bill by changing the cell phone plan to "pay as you go" and switching from the free long distance that came with the cell plan to Unitel. I only wish Unitel offered internet access as well...why don't they? This seems to be the major unjustifiable expense for my company. The local bill with AT&T is about $12, long distance about $3, cell phone about $5 and internet access $20 per month. Thank you Phonedog for doing all the research finding the most afforable long distance phone plan. My only complaint is that calling Kansas City, Kansas is disproportionatly expensive, since I need to call family there. I would recommend anybody else get the exact cost of any particular location they need to call the most ofton for the long distance company they are considering before signing up for the selected plan. I wish I needed to call Hong Kong instead. 9 out of 18 people found this review helpful Arthur N. Long Distance - Did you know? Many people use the 10-10 dial-around numbers, when they could save even more by using one of the plans compared on our site.Check out the low rates on many of the offered plans. Then you can go back to dialing regular calls and saving even more. Your fingers will thank you.
