(We usually don't make many Long Distance calls per month.) Well, this plan has worked out great for us so far (it's 4 months and we still haven't gone through the $10 verification money), and what's even better is we know we're supporting the economy back home, because the company is located in New England. 6 out of 8 people found this review helpful Pioneer telephoneOverall Rating: By: Dana McElroy on Tuesday, November 11, 2008From: Penn Valley, CA (United States) Experience: 3 Months Pros: Good service, good communication from staff.Cons: NoneSummary: Very good cheap service, easy to use, very helpful. 3 out of 7 people found this review helpful Pioneer Telephone 2.7 rate busterOverall Rating: By: Terry Simpkins on Tuesday, November 11, 2008From: Yorktown, VA (United States) Experience: 90 Days Pros: Perfect quality calls very good priceCons: NONESummary: Couldn't be happier. The price is right. No difference in serviceCons: Haven't noticed anySummary: This service suits our need for long distance. We are now paying one quarter of what we paid ATT. I haven't noticed any difference in voice quality. Sign-up was easy and transition was smooth.I haven't needed any customer service, so I can't rate it. I don't just like this service.. I Love it! 3 out of 6 people found this review helpful Excellent Long Distance ServiceOverall Rating: By: B C on Sunday, November 02, 2008From: Belmont, CA (United States) Experience: 12 Months Pros: Great long distance at an excellent price.Cons: NoneSummary: Going on one year of service with Pioneer and the transparency of having them as the LD carrier as opposed to have been gouged by MCI and ATT over the past years.....MEANING, the $20 put nearly a year ago into the account for the initial sign up with Pioneer still - GET THIS - has $1.24 left on it! Geez to think, before Pioneer we were paying somewhere around $20 a month just to have MCI or ATT as our LD carrier and HARDLY EVEN USED THE SERVICE! 5 out of 8 people found this review helpful |
Long Distance - Did you know? The USF fee is a mandatory fee implemented by the FCC. Companies can however charge a higher % than required. A higher USF fee can have a significant effect on your final bill. We include the USF Fee into our "Yearly Savings" formula which has a significant role in which plan has the highest Yearly Savings value. This fee goes to High Cost/Low Income Fund, Schools, Libraries, Rural Health Care, and Telecommunications Relay Services or TRS Fund.
