OPEX Value Plus 2.7 User Review![]() Opex is goodOverall Rating: By: Taras Merza on Saturday, August 16, 2008From: Carbondale, PA (United States) Experience: 40 Days Pros: No problem with anything.Cons: Verizon gave Opex a problem with connectionSummary: I'm not complaining about the service. The only thing that caused a glitch was that Verizon was uncooperative. I can't fault Opex for that. Verizon sometimes can have a swelled head. 4 out of 9 people found this review helpful

disasterOverall Rating: By: Kathleen Fagan on Monday, July 14, 2008From: San Marcos, CA (United States) Experience: 2 Days Pros: ok voice quality - the same as other companiesCons: one of the worst customer service experiences I have ever hadSummary: Things went along fairly smoothly until I needed customer service. First, I never waited less than 20 minutes to speak with a person. I tried to make a $26 dollar payment online and the person said it did not go through and I needed to call my bank. My bank CALLED ME and told me that OPEX had charged me $26 several times and $26,000 (clearly a decimal mistake). My bank person conferenced called them back with me to straighten this out and they said it would take ten days to get the $26,000 off my bill. After many assurances from them there was nothing they could do, my bank guy got another person who said they would take care of it - which was only partly true. Two weeks later they said they were going to send my account to collections over the $26 that I was assured I paid. I finally got it all straight and canceled my account. Two months later I am still calling them because they are billing me $2 for monthly service on my cancelled account. They keep telling me they will delete the charge, my account is closed, and I will not hear from them again - and then they bill me again. 9 out of 13 people found this review helpful
Terrible Customer ServiceOverall Rating: By: JA Williams on Tuesday, June 24, 2008From: Miami, FL (United States) Experience: 1 Years Pros: Nothing nice to say about this company. Cons: It took me over a year to get a credit refund back from this company. Everyone kept passing the buck and saying that the refund check had been issued and it wasn't until I involved an attorney that I got my refund of over $200 back!Summary: Use another company!!!! This is not a reputable company to do business with at any level. 11 out of 19 people found this review helpful
Not a happy customerOverall Rating: By: Dee N on Wednesday, June 11, 2008From: San Jose, CA (United States) Experience: 1 Years Pros: CheapCons: The worst customer service ever!Summary: They billed my credit card 3 times for the same amount in 1 week! It took a whole month to get it resolved, numerous phone calls, very rude people. They apparently DO NOT document or keep a record of your complaints ot THEIR notes, so when you call to follow up, no one knows what the hell you're talking about. Very rude and unprofessional people! 6 out of 12 people found this review helpful

Opex residential long distance serviceOverall Rating: By: ra marks on Saturday, April 12, 2008From: york township, IL (United States) Experience: 2 Years Pros: none.Cons: After this company moved their offices to the west coast (from northwest chicagoland) the trouble started. to my objections, they continued to charge my account a municipal tax for the town my post office is located in. i told them five times i did NOT live in that town, going as far as faxing them a copy of my real estate tax bill and changing the billing address town name to my "un-incorporated area" name. all of this for less than seven dollars; but it is the principal. now, i get daily recorSummary: I would advise you, if you live in a non-incorporated area, to get telephone service from someone that understands that your 5 digit zip code has no bearing on who gets a share of your real estate taxes. 9 out of 18 people found this review helpful
