They have very limited service hours. Summary: When I received my first bill I expected it to be about 10.00 less than my previous phone company, based on their posted rates and taxes. It was about 10.00 more than my old company, due to non governmental fees, that my old company did not charge for. Also if I have a problem with my phone on Friday night, I can't even report it until Monday morning. Womack on Monday, July 02, 2007From: Riverdale, GA (United States) Experience: 1 Years Cons: There is nothing clear about cleartel when it comes to transfering service...I moved 3 miles from one location to my new location and it took forever to get hooked up...customer service was clueless a week later on the status of my order. My number had to be changed and no one called to give me the new number, finally, I was told it was up to me to ask otherwise I would not know. Summary: Bottom line is...poor customer service from 4 different reps and 1 supervisor. I changed from Talk America home phone service because they had lots of hidden taxes and fees they tacked onto the monthly bill that made the final bill more than what I was paying before I switched to them. HmmmOverall Rating: By: Michael Brown on Tuesday, November 15, 2005From: Waukegan, IL (United States) Experience: 2 Months Pros: Cost, ease of use of voice mail system.Cons: Limited customer service hours, long waits on hold, poor general communication of order status and issues that I would consider to be important.Summary: I would be much more pleased with Cleartel as a phone provider if their customer service had been more communicative about such basic issues as how to use the voice mail system and what the procedure was to retrieve messages. It would appear that Cleartel is moving toward having this information on their website (which would be fine for me) but at the time I needed the information, this section of the website was not yet completed. The bottom line for me was that I felt that the company did an extremely poor job of communicating to me when they needed additional information to process my order or when I had questions. When my service was finally activated I was not given long distance access even though my plan was to have included it; I could not make phone calls out of my immediate area for 8 days before the problem was resolved, and it took 8 customer service calls before the problem was even properly analyzed. This was totally unacceptable and because of this I rate this company as extremely poor in customer service for new customers. 39 out of 72 people found this review helpful

The phone line is just as clear and the services work well. No complaints here. Cons: It took forever for my service to be hooked up.
